We stumbled upon our first estate sale in 2019 while out for a stroll in the Hollywood Hills. It was the home of Barbara Perry, an actress and dancer, and her late husband, Art Babbitt, a legendary animator. Their family had come from Europe to sell the house and a century worth of memorabilia, including Art’s original “Alice in Wonderland” sketches. We were so compelled, we returned the next few days to help with the sale, sorting through boxes of historic animation cels for a donation to the AFI archives. We acquired so much more than crystal decanters and opera records from this experience - an addiction.

We began frequenting estates, building relationships with the hosts and eventually staging and facilitating sales. Cut to 2024, we’ve opened a boutique in the Fashion District of Downtown LA where our curated collection of vintage decor, barware, and furniture is available for sale and rental.

I grew up watching my parents painstakingly restore our historic Victorian home. One of the bathrooms had black velvet wallpaper with gold gilded figures of nude women, which I still haven’t forgiven them for removing. I parleyed my knowledge of home restoration and found success in the early 2000’s in real estate by winning clients with my staging and design services. I bought a 1920’s Tudor with my partner at the time and we brought it back to it’s original glory just in time for the market to crash in 2008. I left real estate for the airline industry, where I traveled the world and immersed myself in culture, art and architecture. I’ve since been working in luxury estate sales and commercial set design.

I studied film in school, explored painting and writing in Rome, and started my career at a video production agency in London. Since moving to LA, I’ve worked in marketing,  independent film, and television. I’m drawn to sets that are highly stylized, dark, and moody, like “Beetlejuice” or “Chicago.”

Both personally and professionally, vintage is the most sustainable way to satisfy my old soul and scratch my maximalist itch. I feel most at home in a room with clashing patterns, one-of-a-kind pieces, and genre-bending design - a mix of Art Deco with Post Modern and a dash of gothic whimsy.
